1
Day 1: Christchurch - Oamaru (L/D)
Arriving Christchurch by flight . Flight must arrive before 1 pm .we will visit the stunning botanic gardens, punt down the Avon River (ticket on your own expense) or ride the historic tram to the city's various shopping and eating precincts. After lunch, we will depart to Oamaru via Ashburton. Visit local museums in Ashburton, shop for arts and crafts in Geraldine and discover maori rock art in Timaru. Spend the afternoon wandering the streets of Oamaru where you will find New Zealand's best 19th century architecture. Don't forget to check out the harbor and the Oamaru Blue Penguin Colony – a must see attraction. Pick up at Christchurch Airport at 10 am and 1 pm, please meet the group at Oamaru if you could not get together on time.

Day 2: Oamaru - Dunedin - Invercargill (B/L/D)
In the morning, we will go to Dunedin via Moeraki . Visit Moeraki where giant perfectly rounded boulders lie strewn across the beach. Visit Dunedin, New Zealand’s oldest city featuring the history, the scenery and the wildlife encounters. Otago University, Historical Railway Station. World’s steepest residental Street are must stops. After lunch, we will go to Invercargill, which is New Zealand’s southernmost city and the capital of the Southland region. Beyond the captivating scenery there are also many activities for the visitor. At Curio Bay, along The Catlins Coastal Heritage Trail, you can see the petrified remains of a forest that’s over 160 million years old.

Day 3: Invercargill - Bluff - Te Anau (B/L/D)
As the oldest European settlement in New Zealand, Bluff has a rich and varied history. Check out the maritime museum (ticket on your own expense) for exhibits that focus whaling, oystering and shipwrecks. The oyster season runs from March to August, and in May the locals put on a lively festival to honor Ostrea chilensis (that’s Latin for Bluff oyster). In the afternoon, we will depart to Te Anau . Lake Te Anau with its deep, serene waters is the second largest lake in New Zealand and holds top honours as the largest lake in the South Island.

Day 4: Te Anau - Milford Sound - Queenstown (B/L/D)
Depart Te Anau for a fascinating drive to Milford Sound where you board your launch for a cruise on this magnificent fiord. See the spectacular Bowen Falls and towering Mitre Peak as you enjoy a picnic lunch onboard. After cruise, we will depart to most beautiful town – Queenstown. You have a free time in Queenstown and walk around the Lake Wakatipu.

Day 5: Queenstown - Arrow town - Wanaka - Clyde - Queenstown (B/L/D)
This morning travel to Arrowtown, best known for its spectacular autumn colors. Visit the Lakes District Museum a treasure trove of stories and exhibits about the exciting mining era of the late 1800s.Then we will go to Wanaka – lonely tree. After lunch, we will go to fruit town – Cromwell via famous town Clyde, which is shown in FENGXIAOGANG’s film. In the evening, we will back to Queenstown and take a ride in Queenstown’s iconic Skyline Gondola to experience unforgettable view.

Day 6: Queenstown (B)
Today is a free day for optional sightseeing. You can board the vintage steamship TSS Earnslaw and cruise across Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak Station. Sit back, relax and enjoy a delicious gourmet barbecue dinner featuring a menu of seasonal, fresh and locally sourced food at the Colonel's Homestead.

Day 7: Queenstown - Mt cook - Tekapo (B/D)
Travel north through the historic gold mining region of the rugged Kawarau River Gorge and past Cromwell, famed for fruit growing. Continue through the high-country landscape of the Mackenzie Basin arriving at Mt Cook Village, where you can gaze up at the 3,724 spectacles of Aoraki / Mt Cook. It’s a short distance to Lake Tekapo. Its patchwork of agricultural activity ranges from grazing grass and wheat to herbs and sunflowers.

Day 8: Tekapo - Christchurch (B/L)
In the morning, view the tiny Church of the Good Shepherd and the Collie Dog Memorial overlooking Lake Tekapo before back to Christchurch. Depart to Christchurch, if you are lucky, you will see alpaca before finishing the tour. Take the flight back to your hometown from Christchurch Airport after 5pm.
