Day 1 - Welcome to Nairobi
You’ll be warmly greeted upon arrival and chauffeured to Hemingways. Our luxury boutique hotel offers private verandah views of the Ngong Hills.
Africa has transformed many people and they in turn have had profound impact on the land they came to love. Visit the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and Karen Blixen Museum to learn about some of these inspiring lives, their work and legacy. At the Giraffe Center, you’ll get close enough to feed endangered Rothschild’s giraffe. Alan Donovan, founder of African Heritage House, will be our host for dinner at his home and a tour of his collection. Meals B,L,D
Day 3 - Fly to Amboseli National Park
Under the gaze of Kilimanjaro, Amboseli is hailed as one of the best places to see elephants. You’ll arrive here at the intimate TortilisCamp for lunch and a game drive. Owned by professional safari guides, the emphasis here at our luxury camp is on a distinctive safari experience that is both fun and intellectually stimulating. Meals B,L,D
Day 4 - Amboseli National Park
Begin your day with breakfast in the bush and wind down with classic sundowners. In between, you’ll enjoy game drives and a guided bush walk with our safari guide. Meals B,L,D
Day 5 - Fly to Ol Malo Sanctuary
Fly to the family-run Ol Malo Lodge for lunch and an afternoon game drive. On a 5,000-acre private reserve on the edge of Kenya’s isolated Laikipia Plateau, wildlife viewing from our luxury sanctuary includes giraffe, wild dog, leopard, lion, cheetah, hyena, impala, gazelle and buffalo. Day 6 - Ol Malo Sanctuary
Game drives, nature walks and even horseback rides and camel treks with our native Samburu safari guides allow you to see and appreciate the land through the eyes of the indigenous and nomadic Samburu people. Meals B,L,D
Day 7 - Fly to the Maasai Mara Reserve
The fabled Maasai Mara is one of the few places in Africa where big game still roams in the same super-abundance that existed a century ago. To ensure the best safari experience, you’ll enjoy three nights at the exclusive 1920’s Cottar’s Safari Camp. Set on a private conservancy exclusive to our guests, your safari activities will encompass all the wildlife-viewing of the Maasai Mara and genuine tribal encounters as well as off-road game drives, night safaris and guided walks deep into the bush. Day 8 – Our Private Sanctuary + The Maasai Mara
With its undisturbed panoramas of rolling savannah punctuated by the iconic silhouette of acacia trees, the Maasai Mara is ravishing in its wild beauty and acclaimed as one of the richest wildlife habitats on Earth. Thrill to a full day of adrenaline-pumping safari activities on our 6,000-acre private sanctuary and deep into the Maasai Mara National reserve. Meals B+L+D
Day 9 – Another Day in the Maasai Mara
Arise at camp to another full day of unmatched game viewing including safari drives and nature walks. The Big 5, grazing herds of herbivores and plenty of hungry carnivorous predators top the list of animals that you might see again as you set out with our award-winning safari guides. A healthy population of Rhino’s, large Verreaux’s eagles and Colobus monkeys also reside in the hills and plains which surround our classic safari camp. Meals B+L+D
Day 10 - Return to Nairobi
After lunch, fly to Nairobi. Enjoy dinner at Tamarind and then transfer to the international airport for your onward flight. Meals B,L,D
